A sense of well-being, the satisfaction of a happy marriage, a perception of life’s excitment – money shouldn’t have too much of an impact on that, right?  Well, actually, the rich do feel better, a lot better.  And this isn’t a recent development, the rich (top 20% in income) have always felt better than the poor (bottom 20% in income), or at least since this data was collected (that’s 1973 or forty years of known extra happiness).
